Shoestring Acres Mastini is located in the village of Aurora in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York. Our primary goal is the preservation of the true Neapolitan Mastiff through selective breeding of correct and sound Mastini. We strive to maintain proper Mastino movement and breed type; yet we believe breed enthusiasts must never lose sight of the ultimate goal: the future health of our breed.
We are active members of the United States Neapolitan Mastiff Club, and we abide by their code of ethics. We are eager to collaborate with other fanciers who share our vision for the future of the Mastino in the United States, and we occasionally offer import/export assistance to our international collaborators.
Dan is an assistant professor of sociology at Wells College, which overlooks beautiful Cayuga Lake. He completed his doctorate at the University of Washington. He has always had a passion for dogs, and he has only rarely been without one.
We hope you enjoy visiting our website, meeting some of our dogs, and getting to know more about our passion for the breed. If you would like additional information about us or our Mastini, please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail. We would be happy to speak with you.
